Gear up for fall with a burlap wreath. Burlap wreaths are super cute fall decorations for your home, and this burlap wreath tutorial makes it super easy to create! I love the welcoming warmth, rustic texture and fall colors. You will be surprised at how quickly it can come together and you will have created your own decoration for your home.
You’ll surely love this wreath because you can switch it with the seasons if you want. Or you could just easily leave it the natural looking burlap wreath and hang with another piece of burlap.
Wreaths are not just for doors. You can hang them on doors inside the household along with the windows or consoles.
Supplies:
- Roll of 6″ wide burlap ribbon
- 12″ wire wreath form
- Scissors
- Silk flowers and leaves to embellish
Step 1
You simply tie a knot around the wire wreath form with one end of the burlap.
Step 2
Push the burlap thru one of the sections of the wreath form and twist so that the loop is sideways. (this helps cover the wire wreath form).
Step 3
Continue making loops but make sure to do the next “bubble” in the wire opening next to the one you just did to hold the previous loop in place. Continue around the wreath until its as full as you’d like.Once finished attach a bow and you have a festive fall decoration. You can see how to tie a bow on this bow tying tutorial. I used the same process that I do for making a bow for a gift package.
Step 4
Then cut off the burlap. Then either tie another knot to finish off the wreath, or simply tuck it into the bubbles. Then hot glue on silk flowers, leaves, ornaments, bows, etc.
Dress up your doors and impress your guests with a door decorated for all seasons. Nothing says All-American Home like an inviting wreath on the front door.
